Emirates Airlines Baggage Policy

Emirates Airlines has one of the world's most generous baggage policies. It is based on the total weight of the baggage.

Checked Baggage

Passengers can check-in as many bags as they like up to the weight allowance for the class in which they are traveling. Each individual bag must not weigh more than 32 kg. If you're an Emirates Platinum, Gold, or Silver member, you can enjoy extra baggage allowance on routes that already use the weight concept.

When traveling on piece concept routes on Emirates Airlines flights, Emirates Platinum and Gold members will be eligible for one additional piece of checked baggage at 23 kg per piece in Economy Class and 32 kg per piece in Business Class and First Class.

Baggage Allowance in Cabins

First Class and Business Class

First Class and Business Class passengers can carry two pieces of carryon baggage: one briefcase plus either one handbag or one garment bag, all subject to the following size and weight limitations:

  • Chevron Forward Handbag: 55 x 38 x 20cm (22 x 15 x 8 inches)

Economy Class

  • Chevron Forward Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry one piece of carryon luggage, subject to the following size and weight limitations: 55 x 38 x 20cm (22 x 15 x 8 inches).
  • Chevron Forward The weight of the carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kg (15lb).
